Special Interest Group: Medical Engineering

The medical engineering special interest group is a network of excellence for people active in the industry, academia and research as well as those who use medical engineering products. The objective of this expert group is to promote and develop competence, to transfer knowledge and to enable contacts in the field of medical engineering. The special interest group regularly hosts lectures and symposia followed by an informal discussion.

The topics the special interest group deals with include aspects of software development specific to medicine, knowledge of procedures, workflow know-how, statutory and normative issues, such as, for example, introducing products to the market and trading them, efficiency in the health care system as well as all topics that could be of interest to consumers and suppliers of services interested in developing medical engineering further.
