Special Interest Group: SOA/MW

OBJECTIVES

The SOA/MW (Service Orientated Architecture/Middlewares) special interest group wants to address executives/CEOs, engineers and application designers from all industries who are responsible for the maintenance of business processes and the embedding of service critical components in complex application systems.

TOPICS

Companies increasingly use information and communication technology (ICT) to support their internal business processes, to develop their value chain or to generate new market shares. Growing ICT complexity, high costs and an increasing dependence of external service providers are the consequence. Especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) are interested in finding new sources of added income by using these developments without causing higher costs through ICT or by developing their own ICT competencies. Program-wise the special interest group is geared to but does not want to be limited to the API-technologies XML, JDOM or JAXB APIs. The special interest group champions the concept of“ easy service generation also for non IT-experts” and wants to discuss this with companies, self-employed persons, freelancers and experts.
